World Architecture Festival, abbreviation as WAF, is one of the award ceremonies of largest scale and highest prestige in international architecture industry. WAF has been held successfully for 12 years since 2008, by the English EMAP Group. Taking place in a different city each year, architects and designers from all over the world are gathering together and demonstrating to the world through competition works about how design languages and techniques can be up to the most urgent challenges around the world. The award exists to be more than an applause for built outstanding architecture works, but also to uncover the exceptional schemes before completion, and is acknowledged as the Oscar in architecture.
