A’Design Award & Competition

The German Design Award is sponsored by the German Design Council and awarded to companies and designers who are creative in design. In 1953, the German Design Council was established on the initiative of the lower house of the German Federal Parliament. The German Design Award must be nominated for works that have been recommended by the German Design Council. Most of the nominated works are winners of the International Design Awards, also known as prizes.
